NOTE: Dues paid to the organization are not deductible as a charitable contribution for Federal income tax purposes. Membership dues are, however, deductible for most members of a trade association under Section 162 of the Internal Revenue Code as an ordinary and necessary business expense. As the amount of lobbying activity for WPT is de minimus, the deductibility of dues is not affected by new regulations from the Internal Revenue Service as a result of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993.
