The WPT 10th Annual Conference is scheduled for June 17-20, 2007 at the Mystic Hilton Hotel, Mystic CT. Additional information, including registration procedures will be available on this website during the first quarter, 2007.
Excellence in Thermography
The Call for Entries in the Excellence in Thermography Contest will be issued also in the 1st quarter of 2007.
Any company involved in the thermographic process is eligible to enter. Entries are judged based on excellence in quality including color control and thermography, design and registration, and how the use of thermography enhances the piece. The 19 award categories include excellence in thermography for business cards, envelopes, letterheads or personal stationery, social announcements or invitations, foil stamping, and self promotion. Winners will be announced at the 10th Annual Conference at the Mystic Hilton Hotel, Mystic, CT, June 17-20, 2007.
The Excellence in Thermography Contest is appropriately named the "FREDDIE" to honor Fred Nicotera, who is known within the industry as the Father of Thermography. Fred's contributions to the industry span 45 years.
He started in 1945 as a jogger at the end of a thermography machine. He retired in 1995 as the founder and president of Faust Thermographic, Inc., one of the industry's largest powder manufacturers. Fred developed many products and processes that continue to benefit thermographers worldwide. His numerous contributions to the industry have linked his name forever to excellence in thermography.
