Excellence in Thermography

The call for entries in the Excellence in Thermography Contest will be issued in the first quarter of 2008. Any company involved in the thermographic process is eligible to enter. Entries are judged based on excellence in quality of thermography including color control, design, registration and how the use of thermography enhances the finished piece. The 19 award categories include excellence in thermography for business cards, envelopes, letterheads or personal stationery, social announcements or invitations, foil stamping and self promotion. Winners will be announced at the 11th Annual Conference at the Bishop's Lodge and Resort. Santa Fe, NM, June 25 - 28, 2008.

The excellence in Thermography Contest is appropriately named the "Freddie" to honor Fred Nicotera, who is known within the industry as the Father of Thermography. Mr. Nicotera was active in the industry for a half century. He started as a jogger at the end of a thermography machine. He retired as founder and president of Faust Thermographic Supply, Inc., one of the industry's largest powder manufacturers. Mr. Nicotera also developed many products and processes that continue to benefit thermographers worldwide. His numerous contributions to the industry have forever linked his name to excellence in thermography.
